In the morning, you will be picked up from your Arusha hotel and begin your journey toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Once you reach the rim, you will descend 600 meters into the crater, where a wildlife paradise awaits. Lions, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, and hippos thrive here, and with some luck, you might even spot the endangered black rhino.
At midday, you will enjoy a picnic lunch at the hippo pool, surrounded by stunning scenery. In the late afternoon, you will ascend from the crater and continue to Karatu, a highland town surrounded by farms and rolling green hills. Here you will check in at your luxury lodge, enjoy dinner, and unwind for the night.
After a leisurely breakfast, you will set off toward Lake Manyara National Park, located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park may be small, but it is wonderfully diverse.
