2 Days Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater Safari Adventure

After an early breakfast in Arusha, you will depart for Tarangire National Park, a scenic 2–3 hour drive through Maasai villages and countryside. Upon arrival, you will begin your game drive across the park’s vast savannah, famous for its giant baobab trees and large herds of elephants.

Tarangire offers excellent wildlife viewing, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and a variety of antelope species. The Tarangire River attracts many animals, especially during the dry season, making sightings even more rewarding. With its peaceful atmosphere and fewer crowds, the park provides a truly authentic safari experience. You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon game drive.

In the late afternoon, you will drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Eileen's Tree Inn, a charming lodge set in a tranquil garden environment — the perfect place to relax after a memorable day in the wild.

After early breakfast, you will proceed to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most spectacular natural wonders. You will descend about 600 meters to the crater floor for a half-day game drive in an area known for its high concentration of wildlife.

Here, you have an excellent chance to see the Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and the rare black rhino — along with zebras, wildebeest, hippos, flamingos, and hyenas. The stunning scenery of lush plains surrounded by towering crater walls makes the experience truly unforgettable. After a picnic lunch inside the crater, you will ascend and drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
