You depart Nairobi in the morning and travel across the Great Rift Valley, descending into a landscape of expansive plains en route to the Masai Mara. Upon arrival at your lodge/camp, you check in and enjoy lunch before heading out for your first afternoon game drive. The Mara welcomes you with sweeping savannahs dotted with wildlife, offering your first encounters with lions, elephants, giraffes, and herds of grazing antelope
The day begins with an early morning game drive, when wildlife is most active. The soft golden light makes for striking photographs as predators return from nighttime hunts and grazers begin to feed. After breakfast, you continue exploring the reserve, possibly traveling toward the Mara River where hippos and crocodiles inhabit the waters. You enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild before continuing your game viewing into the afternoon. Optional visits to a local Maasai village are available (at an additional cost). Return to camp for dinner and relaxation under the stars.
After breakfast, you depart the Mara and travel to Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival, you check in and enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive along the lakeshore and wooded areas. The park is known for its healthy populations of black and white rhinoceros, which you may spot grazing or resting in open spaces. The unique landscapes and varied wildlife make for a calm yet captivating experience.
In the morning, you depart Nakuru and travel south toward Amboseli National Park, with scenic views and landscapes shifting along the journey. Upon arrival, you check in and relax before an afternoon game drive. Amboseli’s open plains and dramatic views of Mount Kilimanjaro provide a remarkable backdrop as large elephant families move across the land.
You spend a full day experiencing Amboseli, beginning with an early morning drive when Kilimanjaro’s peak is most likely visible. Wildlife sightings commonly include elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffalo, giraffes, and a diversity of bird species. After a midday rest, you head back out for another drive, exploring swamp areas where hippos and water birds thrive.
Following breakfast, you check out and begin your return journey to Nairobi. Arrive in the afternoon, marking the end of your safari
