The Marangu Route, also known as the "Coca-Cola Route," is one of the most popular ways to summit Mount Kilimanjaro. We will start our second day on the Marangu Hiking Trail with a strenuous climb through the forest before opening up into the high moorland. Two of the three volcanic peaks that comprise Kilimanjaro's summit, Kibo and Mawenzi, may be visible for the first time if the sky is clear and cloud-free.

Acclimatization takes place during this additional day. On foot, we make our way to Mawenzi Hut and back to Horombo Hut. Day 4: Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut.

On this day, hikers will ascend gradually before traversing the "Saddle" of the lunar desert between Mawenzi and Kibo to arrive at our campsite, which is located at the base of the wall of Kibo Crater. After arriving at the camp, the hiker or hikers rest, eat an early dinner, and get ready for the summit hiking day.

The team and the hiker or hikers awaken in the middle of the night to start the last push to Africa's roof. The ascent to Gilman's Point will be gradual and gradual due to the steep terrain. The team and the hiker or hikers pause briefly at the summit to snap pictures and take in the scenery before making the long trek back to Horombo Hut.
