Upon arrival at Wonchi Crater Lake, enjoy a guided hike along the crater rim with panoramic views of the lake, forests, and surrounding mountains. Wake up to fresh mountain air and a hearty local breakfast. Take a boat ride across the serene waters of Wonchi Lake to Wonchi Island, home to an ancient Ethiopian Orthodox monastery rich in history and tradition.

After breakfast, drive south to Lake Langano (200 km). En route, stop at Awash River and Lake Ziway, famous for aquatic birds such as African fish eagles, jacanas, storks, and herons.

Continue through Abijatta–Shalla National Park, viewing Lake Shalla (one of Ethiopia’s deepest crater lakes) and Lake Abijatta, known for its flamingos.

Arrive at Lake Langano — the only Rift Valley lake safe for swimming — and relax at your lakeside resort.

Drive to Hawassa after breakfast. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy a relaxed afternoon walking along the lakeshore, watching birds and enjoying a beautiful sunset.

Visit the vibrant Hawassa Fish Market early in the morning, then drive to Arbaminch, enjoying scenic landscapes and village life along the way.Before checking in, visit the Dorze Village, famous for its towering beehive-shaped bamboo houses, traditional weaving, and enset (false banana) cultivation.

After breakfast, enjoy a boat safari on Lake Chamo, spotting giant Nile crocodiles, hippos, fish eagles, and other bird species against the dramatic Rift Valley backdrop. Lunch at a local fish restaurant before visiting Nechisar National Park and the scenic Forty Springs, where you may see monkeys, baboons, and lush forest landscapes. Return to Arbaminch in the evening.

Continue to explore the Bena Tribe, and if the schedule allows, visit the colorful Dimeka Market.
