Your Tanzanian adventure begins in Arusha, the gateway to the Northern Safari Circuit.
After breakfast, you will meet your professional safari guide and fellow travellers before departing for Tarangire National Park. The drive takes you through the beautiful countryside, with opportunities to see local villages, farms and everyday Tanzanian life along the way.
Tarangire is famous for its huge elephant population, ancient baobab trees and spectacular landscapes. During your afternoon game drive, keep your camera ready for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, antelope and many different species of birds.
With good luck, you may also encounter lions and other predators.
After the game drive, you will continue to your comfortable mid-range lodge for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
After breakfast, you will depart towards the legendary Serengeti National Park.
The journey itself is part of the experience. As you travel towards the Serengeti, the scenery changes dramatically, from cultivated areas and highlands to wide-open plains.
You will enter the Serengeti and begin your game drive en route to your lodge.
The Serengeti is one of Africa's most famous wildlife destinations and is home to large populations of lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, cheetahs and other wildlife.
Depending on the season and wildlife movements, you may also have the opportunity to witness parts of the famous Great Migration, when enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra move across the ecosystem in search of fresh grazing and water.
After an exciting day in the wilderness, arrive at your lodge, enjoy dinner and relax beneath the African sky.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Overnight: Mid-range lodge/tented lodge in or around Serengeti
Day 3: Full-Day Serengeti National Park Game Drive
Today is dedicated to one of the highlights of your Tanzania adventure — a full day in the Serengeti.
After an early breakfast, you will head out with your guide for a full-day game drive.
Early morning is one of the best times to be on safari. The temperature is cooler, wildlife is often active and the soft morning light creates wonderful photography opportunities.
Your guide will search for predators and other animals while explaining the behaviour and ecology of the wildlife around you.
You could encounter a pride of lions resting beneath a tree, cheetahs scanning the plains for prey, giraffes moving gracefully through the grassland or large herds of zebra and wildebeest crossing the plains.
A picnic lunch will be enjoyed during the day, allowing you to spend more time exploring rather than returning to the lodge.
In the late afternoon, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight accommodation.
