Murchison Falls National Park positioned in the northwest of Uganda stands as the largest national park in Uganda stretching to 3,840km. The park is bisected by the famous Nile River that flows 115km within the park boundaries emptying into Lake Albert and the Albert Nile starting a new course that moves out of Uganda. The greater Murchison Falls Conservation Area which incorporates the surrounding Bugungu and Karuma Wildlife Reserves stretched over a geographical coverage of 5,308 sq. km. The park derives its magical name from the Murchison Falls whose name was bestowed upon it by the famous European explorer Sir Samuel Baker on his Nile expedition from its Origin. The park supports four of the big five Species including lions, leopards, elephants and Buffaloes. The Rhinos used to exist but faced extinction and they are now at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary awaiting to be reintroduced in the wild.

Our Safari Guide will pick you up from your Hotel and depart by Road for Murchison Falls National Park going through the famous Luwero triangle and Budongo forest on the western arm of the Great Rift Valley. We will stop en route to track the Rhinos at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary and also enjoy lunch. The journey will offer you great sceneries that are picturesque to reach the park in the afternoon. You will drive to the top of the falls where the Nile perfects its beauty. Here you will see the calm Nile forcing itself through a narrow gorge to fall a distance of about 150 ft down producing a thunderous roar of white water and incredible scenery! Later You will be transferred to your Lodge for Dinner and overnight
In the morning take a cup of Tea to go for a before-dawn game drive in the northern circuit of the park. This drive will reward you with game like leopards, hyenas, lions, jackals, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda Kob and many more. You will retire from the game drive, have Lunch and later in the Afternoon enjoy a Boat cruise which takes you to the bottom of the falls where the Mosaic of Papyrus Islands Chokes the River into Lake Albert which is rich in water Birds most notably the Shoebill also opportunities to view some of the water animals like the crocodiles, buffaloes, hippos and plenty of other birds. Return to the lodge for Dinner and Overnight as above.
Early morning breakfast drive to Kanyio pabidi Forest in the southern Part Of Murchison Falls Conservation Area is a Home for Habituated Chimpanzee Group that offers chimpanzee tracking and nature appreciation for Forest Guides and is also an essential for Birding due to the presence of Albertine Rift endemics and other restricted species like the Chocolate backed Kingfisher, white thighed hornbill and puvel’s illadopsis. Later embark on your journey back to Kampala with lunch Enroute in Masindi Town. Later drive back to Kampala and on arrival transfer to Hotel for your Overnight or transfer to Entebbe Airport for your outbound flight home.
