Serengeti Safari From Arusha

Your safari adventure begins early in the morning with a scenic drive from Arusha to Serengeti National Park. The journey takes you through the beautiful highlands of Tanzania, past Lake Manyara and through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering picturesque views and a glimpse of rural life and wildlife along the way. You’ll enjoy a packed lunch en route and arrive at Naabi Hill Gate, the official entrance to the Serengeti, by early afternoon.

Once inside the park, your first game drive begins immediately, allowing you to experience the legendary landscapes and abundant wildlife of the central Serengeti. Expect sightings of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and predators such as lions and cheetahs as you make your way toward your accommodation. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at Kontiki Serengeti Camp, a comfortable and eco-friendly midrange tented camp nestled in the heart of the park. After check-in, enjoy a warm shower, a hearty dinner, and a relaxing evening under the stars with the sounds of nature around you.

After an early breakfast at Kontiki Camp, head out for a full day of game drives across the vast central Serengeti. This area is renowned for its high density of wildlife and offers some of the best chances to spot the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and (occasionally) rhino—as well as a wide variety of birds and plains game. Your professional guide will tailor the route based on seasonal wildlife movements and recent sightings to give you the best experience.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, surrounded by the stunning scenery of open savannah and acacia-dotted plains. In the afternoon, continue exploring different habitats including the famous Seronera Valley, known for its year-round water supply that attracts predators and prey alike.
