Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Arusha to the vast landscapes of Tarangire National Park. As you board your 4×4 Land Cruiser, get ready to capture the striking beauty of Tarangire’s ancient baobabs, the Tarangire River, and its famous elephant herds. With abundant wildlife including lions, zebras, and hundreds of bird species, your camera will be in constant action. Enjoy a night under the stars at a luxurious tented camp.

Day 2: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, journey to the picturesque Lake Manyara National Park, known for its photogenic salt lake, vibrant pink flamingos, and tree-climbing lions. The diverse scenery, from dense woodlands to the dramatic Rift Valley Escarpment, offers excellent opportunities for wildlife photography. Overnight in a comfortable lodge in the nearby town of Karatu.

Day 3: Karatu – Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro

Today, travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route to the world-famous Serengeti National Park. On the way, stop at the Ngorongoro Crater Rim for panoramic shots of this massive caldera. You may also choose to visit a traditional Maasai Boma for cultural portraits and the chance to photograph Maasai warriors in their vibrant attire. Continue on to the Olduvai Gorge, the “Cradle of Mankind,” to learn about early human history and take fascinating photos of this archaeological wonder. Spend the night in a tented camp in the Southern Serengeti.

Day 4: Southern Serengeti

Enjoy a full-day game drive in the southern Serengeti plains, capturing the rich diversity of wildlife. From prides of lions and sprinting cheetahs to grazing wildebeest and zebras, the action here is non-stop. The scenery of endless plains provides the perfect backdrop for capturing Africa’s wildlife in its natural habitat. In the evening, retire to a camp in the Central Serengeti.

Day 5: Central Serengeti – Photographic Highlights

Spend another thrilling day in the Central Serengeti, focusing on the iconic kopjes (rock formations) where lions, leopards, and other predators often bask in the sun. The landscapes here are a photographer’s dream, with endless opportunities to capture the dynamic interactions between prey and predators. Return to camp for a peaceful evening and a review of the day’s shots.

Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater

Start your morning with a final game drive in the Serengeti before heading to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Ngorongoro Crater offers unparalleled photographic opportunities with its dramatic scenery and dense population of wildlife. Spend the evening at a lodge perched on the crater rim, providing sweeping views of the caldera at sunset.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

On your last day, descend into the crater for a full morning of wildlife photography in this natural amphitheater. Capture intimate moments between predators and prey as they navigate the lush grasslands. After a picnic lunch, enjoy one last chance to photograph this awe-inspiring landscape before heading back to Arusha. We’ll drop you off at your hotel or transfer you to the airport for your onward journey, whether it’s back home or to Zanzibar for a well-deserved beach holiday.
